Privacy

Without an account we store nothing about you. Calculator state lives in the page URL and in your browser only. Server logs keep request paths and IP addresses briefly for abuse prevention.

With an account we store the name, email address and avatar URL your sign-in provider gives us, your session, and the recipes and files you choose to save or upload. Recipes are private until you share them; uploads are public. You can delete recipes and uploads at any time from your profile.

Reports filed while signed in are linked to your account so you cannot report the same file twice; anonymous reports store a salted hash of your IP address for the same reason.

Chemical lookups are forwarded to PubChem from our server, not from your browser, so PubChem only sees our server's address.

Advertising

Calculator and chemical pages may show advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and may personalise them based on your visits to this and other sites. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent before any advertising cookie is set, and you can change your choice at any time from the link in the footer. You can also opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads. Account, calculator and upload pages carry no ads.

Analytics

If enabled, we use Plausible, a cookie-free analytics service that records page views without identifying you.

Deleting your data

To delete your account and all associated data, sign in and contact us via the address on the about page, or use the account deletion endpoint of the sign-in system.
