  1. Dissolve Citric acid (anhydrous) in about 80 % of the final volume of purified water.
  2. Check the pH; it should read 6.0 at 25 °C. Adjust with dilute acid or base only if needed.
  3. Make up to the final volume with water.
  4. Use fresh or store at 4 °C for up to a month.
