Ethanol precipitation of DNA and RNA. Titrate with glacial acetic acid.

- Dissolve Sodium acetate · 3H₂O in about 80 % of the final volume of purified water.
- Adjust to pH 5.2 at 25 °C with Glacial acetic acid, adding slowly while stirring.
- Make up to the final volume with water.
- Autoclave or filter-sterilise and store at room temperature.
