- Dissolve Tris base in about 80 % of the final volume of purified water.
- Adjust to pH 8.0 at 25 °C with HCl (12 M), adding slowly while stirring.
- Make up to the final volume with water.
- Autoclave or filter-sterilise and store at room temperature.
